My dear faithful, warm greetings and blessings to each one of you.
We have now entered Holy Week, the most sacred time of our Catholic faith. During these holy days, we walk with Jesus—through His Passion, His suffering, His death, and finally His glorious Resurrection. This is not just another week; this is the very heart of our faith. If Christ had not risen, our faith would be empty. But because He lives, we have hope, new life, and a future filled with grace.
Holy Week invites us not only to remember these sacred events, but to live and experience them personally. That is why the Church lovingly encourages us to participate in all the liturgical celebrations of this week. These are not simply ceremonies, but sacred encounters—moments where God comes close to us, touches our hearts, and renews our lives.
Sometimes I feel that many people are especially eager to come on Palm Sunday, perhaps because palms are distributed. But the palms are only a sign. What truly matters is what they represent: Jesus entering Jerusalem with love and humility, knowing that He would soon suffer, die, and rise again for each one of us.
Holy Thursday is a very special and deeply meaningful day. Last year, I noticed that participation was not as strong, and so I would like to gently and sincerely encourage all of you to be present this year. On this sacred day, Jesus gave us the greatest gifts—the Holy Eucharist, the priesthood, and the example of humble service through the washing of the feet. It is a celebration full of love and intimacy with the Lord. Please do not miss this beautiful moment of grace.
On Good Friday, we will have one bilingual liturgy at 4:30 PM, instead of separate celebrations. We have made this decision so that we can come together as one parish family, united in prayer, reflecting on the Passion of our Lord. I kindly invite you to make a special effort to be present. After the liturgy, we will have the Way of the Cross through the streets, which is a powerful public witness of our faith. Walking together with Jesus in this way helps us to carry our own crosses with hope. I warmly and lovingly invite each one of you—families, children, young people, and elders—to participate in this meaningful experience.
On Holy Saturday, during the Easter Vigil, we celebrate the most important night of the entire year—the night of light, life, and resurrection. In this beautiful celebration, around 20 catechumens from our parish will receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion. It is truly a joyful and moving moment for our community, as we witness new life in Christ. After the Mass, we will also have a short Resurrection presentation, expressing the joy of Easter in a simple but meaningful way.
Finally, on Easter Sunday, we will celebrate with our regular Sunday Mass schedule. I kindly and warmly encourage you to bring your families—your children, grandchildren, relatives—and also to invite your friends and neighbors. Sometimes, people are simply waiting for an invitation, and through you, God may be opening a door for them to come closer to Him.
My dear brothers and sisters, this Holy Week can be a moment of grace, even a new beginning for someone. Perhaps through a simple invitation, a kind word, or your presence, God may touch another person’s heart. Let us not miss this opportunity. Let us be instruments of God’s love, bringing others closer to Him.
May the Lord bless you abundantly, may Our Blessed Mother accompany you, and may this Holy Week be a time of deep renewal, peace, and grace for you and your families.
God bless you all

Pastor's Word - March 22, 2026
My dear beloved faithful, Grace and peace to you all.
I send you my warmest greetings and heartfelt blessings from the Parish of the Annunciation. With great joy and a deep sense of gratitude to God, I would like to share something very special with you. This week holds a moment of great grace for our parish community. On Wednesday, March 25th, at 7:00 PM, we will celebrate the Solemn Feast of the Annunciation, our Patron Feast, a day that is very close to our hearts.
This feast is not only a celebration of the universal Church, but in a very special way, it is our feast—the feast of our parish family. It is a moment that unites us as one community in faith, love, and gratitude to God through the “yes” of our Blessed Mother Mary.
Therefore, with great affection and humility, and on behalf of all the priests and the Parish Council, I warmly and sincerely invite each and every one of you—together with your families, children, and loved ones—to be part of this beautiful and grace-filled celebration.
We will begin with a Bilingual Solemn Holy Mass at 7:00 PM, celebrated together by all the priests. I am aware that it is a working day, and many of you may have responsibilities and commitments. However, I kindly and gently encourage you: once you return home, please take a little time to come to the church. Your presence will make this celebration more complete, more joyful, and more meaningful for our parish family.
After the Holy Mass, we will have a short and meaningful presentation of the Annunciation (a brief drama) in the church, prepared with love, followed by a simple yet festive dinner in the school gym. As we are in the Lenten season, we will keep the spirit of simplicity and reflection, while still sharing in the joy of being together as a community.
My dear brothers and sisters, this is truly a time of grace—a moment to pause, to pray, to come together, and to honor our Blessed Mother Mary, who said “yes” to God with faith and trust. Let us not miss this opportunity to receive the blessings that God has prepared for us.
I extend this invitation to you not just as your pastor, but from my heart—as a member of this parish family who deeply desires to see all of us united in faith and joy.
I humbly and kindly request you: please make every effort to be present. Your presence is a gift to the community.
I look forward with great joy to seeing all of you on
Wednesday, March 25th at 7:00 PM in the church.
May our Blessed Mother intercede for you and your families, and may the Lord continue to bless you abundantly.
